Luis Rengifo Expected To Make Spring Debut Wednesday
9 months agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (hamstring) is expected to make his spring training debut in the team's Cactus League lineup on Wednesday and get a couple of at-bats. Rengifo is just now making his Cactus League debut after dealing with a hamstring injury in recent weeks in camp. The 27-year-old is expected to be ready by Opening Day on March 28, though, as long as he doesn't suffer any sort of setback with his leg. Rengifo was one of the team's most productive offensive players last year with 16 home runs in 126 games, and he should open the year as the Halos' starter at the keystone. He doesn't have a ton of power or speed, though, which merely makes him middle-infield depth in deep-mixed fantasy leagues.
