Luis Garcia Sharp in Triple-A Rehab Start
Luis Garcia (elbow) made his second Triple-A rehab start on Thursday and held his own across four scoreless innings. The 28-year-old yielded just three hits while posting seven strikeouts against no walks on 59 pitches (37 strikes). Garcia has now made six rehab starts overall as he works back from May 2023 Tommy John surgery. He'll likely get one or two more before making a long-awaited return to the Astros. Garcia amassed 69 appearances (63 starts) and logged a 3.61 ERA from 2021-23, but it's anyone's guess how effective he'll be when he comes back from two-plus years away from the majors.
