Lucas Giolito Felt Side Tightness On Tuesday
Lucas Giolito (side) felt some tightness in his right side in the third inning of Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. He was examined by the team's trainer James Kruk while he warmed up for the fourth inning and was deemed fine enough to continue pitching. Giolito went on to deliver a strong outing. He pitched six innings and allowed six hits, no walks and two runs (one earned) while striking out five. He earned the win to improve to 4-4 on the year. The White Sox plan to monitor Giolito's side tightness over the next few days. His next start is slated for Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles.
