Logan Webb Blanks The Braves For 11th Win
4 months agoSan Francisco Giants right-hander Logan Webb stepped up for the Giants on Thursday at Oracle Park to prevent a four-game sweep at the hands of the Atlanta Braves. Webb was on point to pick up his 11th victory of the season, throwing 7 2/3 shutout innings while allowing four hits, walking one and striking out seven to lower his season ERA to 3.17. The 27-year-old former fourth-round pick in 2014 is on an outstanding run for the Gigantes, allowing only two earned runs on 17 hits while walking six and striking out 25 in 28 innings in his last four starts. Webb had a 20.5% strikeout rate coming into his outing on Thursday, which isn't ideal for fantasy managers, but despite that, he's having another workmanlike campaign in 2024. He'll be a must-start in his next outing against the worst team in baseball, the Chicago White Sox.
