Logan O'Hoppe Stays Hot In Win Over Seattle
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels rookie catcher Logan O'Hoppe stayed hot at the plate on Monday night in the team's 8-5 extra-inning win over the Seattle Mariners by going 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, three RBI, two runs scored and a strikeout. O'Hoppe has enjoyed the month of September so far, going 11-for-35 (.314) with five home runs, two doubles, eight RBI and six runs scored in 10 games (nine starts). The hot stretch has raised the 23-year-old backstop's season line up to .242/.296/.524 with an .820 OPS, 10 home runs, 22 RBI and 13 runs scored. O'Hoppe missed significant time earlier in the season due to injury, but he'll continue to serve as the Halos' primary catcher the rest of the way. Ride him while he's hot.
