Logan Allen Sent Down Again
3 years agoThe Cleveland Indians optioned left-hander Logan Allen to Triple-A Columbus while recalling outfielder Daniel Johnson and infielder Owen Miller from Triple-A Columbus in corresponding moves. The team also brought up right-hander D.J. Johnson. Miller will be serving as the 27th man for the doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays. With Allen back in the minors, the Tribe will need a starter for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Allen has really struggled this year, going 1-5 with a 9.13 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and a 15/11 K/BB in 22 2/3 innings over his seven starts. The southpaw's 13.9% strikeout rate and 10.2% walk rate just won't cut it in the big leagues, so he'll go back down to work on some things. He doesn't need to be held onto in deeper fantasy formats.
