LeGarrette Blount Starts, Leads Lions Backfield Against Bucs
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount led the Lions rushing attack in carries (11) and yards (45) in their third tuneup before the regular season gets underway. He appears to have the clearest role of any Lion running back heading into the season, where he'll see roughly half the rushes and likely dominate goal-line work. The Lions will do everything they can to generate a running game for quarterback Matthew Stafford with the offseason investment in Blount, along with using a second-round pick on Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson. Blount remains a flex play in season-long formats and will be an interesting DFS play week to week with his touchdown upside.
