1 year agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol from an incident of contact at training camp practice on Monday. Shenault is competing for a spot on Carolina's roster heading into the 2023 regular season, so this won't help his cause as he competes with guys like Shi Smith and Damiere Byrd. The 24-year-old has yet to catch a pass through two preseason games on three targets. The former second-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020 caught a career-low 27 passes on 32 targets for 272 yards and one touchdown in 13 games (four starts) in his first year with the Panthers in 2022.
