Latavius Murray Leads Backfield, Scores Again In Week 8
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray led the team's backfield with 14 carries for 46 yards and his third touchdown of the season in the Week 8 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. He caught one of his two targets for 13 yards through the air. Murray out-touched backfield mate Melvin Gordon III 15 to 12 and out-gained him 59 to 52 in total scrimmage yards. The 32-year-old has now scored in back-to-back weeks and in two of his first three games with Denver. He hasn't been all that efficient, though, and he will continue to split touches almost evenly with Gordon moving forward. Murray's touchdown production has been nice, but he'll remain a low-upside, touchdown-dependent RB3/flex when the Broncos return from their Week 9 bye.
