Latavius Murray Falls Just Shy Of 100 Rushing Yards
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray took advantage of his new role as the unquestioned leader of the Broncos backfield in the 23-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 12 on Sunday, carrying the ball a team-high 13 times for a season-high 92 yards (7.1 yards per carry). He caught his only target in the passing game for a six-yard gain. Kendall Hinton, Marlon Mack and Montrell Washington combined for four carries behind Murray, so the 32-year-old should continue to see the lion's share of the backfield workload moving forward, albeit in the league's lowest-scoring offense. Murray should be considered a touchdown-dependent, low-upside RB2/3 heading into a Week 13 date with the Baltimore Ravens.
