Lars Eller Led Forwards In Time On Ice, Blocks
7 years agoWashington Capitals center Lars Eller was the only Caps forward to eclipse 20:00 TOI in the Game 3 victory. Eller was tapped to fill in for Evgeny Kuznetsov, when he was forced from Game 2, and would have been again if he were to miss Game 3. Unfortunately for him, that didn’t happen, but it obviously didn’t hurt his ice time. His usage strongly suggests coach Barry Trotz trusts him in all situations and isn’t afraid to deploy him. This speaks well for the Dane, who has three points in the Stanley Cup Final, and an impressive 15 points in his last 15 games. He’s a quiet contributor, and is worth a start for secondary scoring.
