Landry Shamet Plays Key Role In Game 4 Win
2 years agoPhoenix Suns shooting guard Landry Shamet became an unexpected fourth-quarter hero in Sunday's Game 4 victory over the Nuggets, popping up from nowhere with four triples. He shot 5-for-8 in total from deep and 6-for-9 overall during a 19-point performance. The 26-year-old didn't register anything else to his stat line, but the triples were more than enough to help the team tie the series at two. Shamet has seen very little usage in the playoffs, but he ended up logging the third-most minutes on the team Sunday behind Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. However, after scoring just 14 points in total during the rest of the postseason, a repeat of his Sunday's efforts isn't likely by Shamet in Tuesday's Game 5.
