Landen Roupp Throws Off Flat Ground
Landen Roupp (elbow) threw 35 pitches off flat ground on Tuesday and is expected to continue throwing at the team's spring training complex in Arizona during the club's six-game road trip, according to Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle. Right-elbow inflammation landed Roupp on the 15-day injured list late last week, but if he continues to progress, he could come off the IL in early August to rejoin San Fran's starting rotation. The 26-year-old former 12th-round pick in 2021 should have a spot waiting for him in the Giants' rotation when he's ready to return, as he was looking good with a 3.11 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 95:42 K:BB in 101 1/3 innings over 20 starts in just his second MLB season. Roupp had given up two earned runs or less in six straight starts before getting injured.
