With the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race being so tight, the drivers fighting for the Championship can't really afford to make any mistakes. Unfortunately for Kyle Busch, that happened in Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. On lap 74 of the 267-lap event, Busch's No. 8 Chevrolet went slamming into the wall because of a loose wheel. Busch's team wasn't able to make the necessary repairs and time expired under the Damaged Vehicle Policy, relegating Busch to a 34th-place finish. He now sits 17 points below the cut line with two races remaining in the Round of 12. Busch will likely need mistake-free races at both Talladega and the Charlotte Roval if he wants to continue battling for this year's Championship.--Jordan McAbee
