In order to prevent getting eliminated from the Playoffs this weekend, Kyle Busch was in a must-win situation at the Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte. And while he did have a chance to snatch a victory in the closing laps late, Busch came up just short with a third-place finish. He is now officially eliminated from Championship contention this season. When interviewed after the race, Busch took the brunt of the blame, stating, "That's on me just not doing a good job at Texas when we did have a good car, and then again last week (at Talladega) being in position to score points both times at the end of the stages and losing spots, just looked like I threw out the anchor." This is just another example of how many Playoff drivers can't afford a single mistake if they want to stay alive.--Jordan McAbee
