Kris Bryant Officially Activated From Injured List
1 year agoThe Colorado Rockies activated outfielder Kris Bryant (finger) from the injured list on Monday and designated outfielder Cole Tucker for assignment in a corresponding move. Bryant will make his return for the first time since landing on the injured list on July 25 with a fractured left index finger. He's immediately back in the starting lineup on Monday, playing first base and batting cleanup against the visiting Chicago Cubs and left-hander Jordan Wicks. The 31-year-old slugger should see regular playing time down the stretch for Colorado between first base, the outfield and designated hitter. Bryant has struggled to stay healthy the last two years and is returning to a mediocre .251/.338/.379 slash line with eight home runs, 23 RBI and 27 runs scored in his 243 at-bats this year.
