Kole Calhoun Attracting Plenty Of Interest
5 years agoThe Blue Jays, Reds, Brewers and Marlins are all showing interest in outfielder Kole Calhoun, according to sources. Calhoun hit a career-high 33 home runs in his final season with the Halos, but he also hit just .232/.325/.467 in 152 games. He hit just .208 with the Angels in 2018 and had just one 20-homer season before putting up 33 round-trippers in 2019. The lefty swinger can be very streaky at the plate and obviously isn't a guarantee to help fantasy owners much outside of a little power here and there. Calhoun is a better defender than he is an offensive player, and his next stop could be as a platoon corner outfielder against right-handed pitchers.
