Kodai Senga Pushed Back To Wednesday
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitchers Tylor Megill and Kodai Senga will swap spots in the starting rotation this week, with Megill facing the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday and Senga being pushed back to Wednesday. The move prevents the Mets from having to use Senga on normal rest on Sunday on the road against the Colorado Rockies. He has gotten extra rest before every start this season in his first year in the big leagues. The 30-year-old Japanese hurler had a career-high 12 strikeouts in six innings against the Tampa Bay Rays his last time out, and he heads into his ninth start of 2023 with a 4-2 record, 3.77 ERA (4.35 FIP), 1.44 WHIP, 26 walks and 55 strikeouts in 43 innings pitched.
