Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman put up another steady season in 2025, posting a 10-11 record with a 3.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 189 strikeouts across 193 innings pitched (32 starts). Now entering his age-35 season, Gausman has been one of MLB's most consistent starters in recent years. Dating back to 2021, the veteran has recorded five straight seasons with at least 174 innings pitched, double-digit wins, and an ERA under 3.85. At this point in his career, Gausman's days of posting strikeout rates near 30% like he did during his peak are likely over. However, he still logged a solid 24.4% strikeout rate in 2025, and he has not posted a walk rate above 7.5% since 2027. Additionally, Gausman has the advantage of pitching for a Blue Jays team that won the American League pennant in 2025 and projects to be among MLB's best clubs once again in 2026. He should have plenty of chances to rack up wins, given Toronto's team quality and his ability to pitch deep into games. He may not be a flashy selection, but Gausman's current average draft position of pick 111 profiles as a reasonable price for fantasy managers to pay for a starting pitcher with his track record of reliable production.--Will Brady
