Kevin Cron Homers In Second Straight Game
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks rookie first baseman Kevin Cron went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's game, his second home run in as many games. The Diamondbacks have mostly used Cron as a pinch hitter since he made his MLB debut on May 24, which is disappointing given the fact that Cron was mashing in Triple-A this year with 21 home runs in 44 games. If you've got an open bench spot, he's worth a stash in deep and NL-only leagues. Arizona's starting first baseman Christian Walker could potentially cede some playing time to Cron if he has another extended cold stretch and Cron's power potential could make him fantasy gold with more regular playing time. In shallow leagues, leave him on waivers unless we start to see him get regular playing time.
