It was an impressive showing for Ketlen Vieira when she took Saturday night's main event over Miesha Tate (48-47, 48-47, 49-46). Keeping Tate at bay with her long strikes was the key to her success, landing 113 significant strikes (156 total strikes) in 25 minutes of action compared to Tate's 122 significant strikes. Ninety-five of those strikes were to the head of Tate, while only 52 of Tate's strikes were to Vieira's head, which can ultimately effect the judges' opinions. With the win, Vieira ends 2021 with a win, and hopefully it will help her string back-to-back wins together for the first time since 2017-18.--Matt Bricker
