Ketel Marte Homers, Drives In Three On Tuesday
6 months agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte turned in a strong performance at the plate in his team's 5-4 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Marte went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI to help power his team to the win. The veteran infielder kicked off the scoring in the game with a two-run homer off Minnesota starter Joe Ryan in the first inning. He later added an RBI single in the seventh inning, a hit which wound up being the game-winner. Marte is having an excellent season for Arizona, hitting .280 with 16 homers, 51 runs, 46 RBI, and three steals across 300 at-bats. If he stays healthy, Marte has a good shot at breaking his previous career-high in homers of 32, which was set back in 2019.
