Ketel Marte Goes Deep Twice In Loss To Reds
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte did everything he could on Friday, but it still wasn't enough in a 9-6 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Marte was seeing the ball well and went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a triple, four RBI, two runs scored and a strikeout. With the effort, he set a career-high with 11 total bases. The 29-year-old switch-hitter is having a fantastic year for the Snakes in 2023 with a .286/.361/.516 slash line, an .876 OPS, 17 home runs, 18 doubles, a league-high six triples, 54 RBI, six stolen bases and 67 runs scored in 399 trips to the plate over 91 games. He's hitting .263 (15-for-57) with two homers, five doubles, two triples, 10 RBI and six runs scored in 14 games in July. Keep Marte in all starting lineups.
