Seattle Seahawks defensive end Kerry Hyder, one of the team's free-agent additions this offseason, thinks that he can play the Michael Bennett role in Seattle's defense. Bennett's primary job was to play as a strongside defensive end opposite speed pass-rushers on the other end. On passing downs, Bennett moved inside to play tackle. His 39 sacks remain the seventh-most in team history. Hyder, 29, had a career-high 8.5 sacks with the San Francisco 49ers last year in his first season as a full-time starter. The Seahawks hope that Hyder and Carlos Dunlap can provide a 1-2 punch on the defensive line while getting after the opposing quarterback next season. L.J. Collier and Rasheem Green can also rotate with Hyder, as both are able to play defensive end and tackle.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
