Kenta Maeda To Receive Extra Day Of Rest
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Kenta Maeda (wrist) will receive an extra day of rest before his next start, which will allow his sore wrist to heal. Maeda was hit by a comebacker in his last start. Julio Urias will likely be inserted for a spot start and could be a sneaky streaming option in deeper leagues if he gets the assignment. Maeda has lost back-to-back starts while giving up seven earned runs in 9 1/3 innings against the Angels and Giants. He's typically a solid fantasy option but also hasn't pitched into the sixth inning since May 31. Overall he's 7-4 with a useful 3.87 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 76 2/3 innings in 14 starts for the Blue.
