Kennedy Nzechukwu suffered a split decision loss to Ovince Saint Preux on the main card of UFC Vegas 88 on Saturday. For the most of the fight, and especially in the third round Nzechukwu and Saint Preux stood in the pocket and went blow-for-blow. Nzechukwu pushed for a finish in the third round but Saint Preux's accumulated strikes clinched the win. In 15 minutes of action, Nzechukwu landed 106 significant strikes. Though Saint Preux is a long-time veteran of the division, Nzechukwu was widely expected to pick up a knockout win in what seemed to be a tune-up matchup on paper. The loss knocks Nzechukwu down to 6-5 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
