1 year agoRoderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer has written that it's "unlikely" the Charlotte Hornets will re-sign Kelly Oubre Jr. The 27-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent and Boone notes that the Hornets are overcrowded at the wing position, meaning there simply isn't room for Oubre Jr. Charlotte has the No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller in the mix now, Gordon Hayward needs minutes, Cody Martin and Bryce McGowens are competing for playing time, and Miles Bridges is set to return to the team after sitting out last season. Oubre Jr. had a career year in 2022-23 scoring 20.3 points per game and there should be a lot of teams after his signature in free agency.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
