Ke'Bryan Hayes Doing Baseball Activities
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes (back) has been running, taking grounders and hitting, and the team is hopeful that he'll continue to get repetitions to be in a position to take at-bats before he's activated from the 10-day injured list. A minor-league rehab assignment is possible once he recovers from lower-back inflammation. Because he's played in just one game since June 24, it's likely that the 26-year-old will play in minor league games before returning to Pittsburgh. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see him back in the big leagues until at least early August. With Hayes out, rookie Jared Triolo has excelled at third base for the Bucs, going 19-for-61 (.311), although he has yet to hit a home run.
