Kawhi Leonard In MVP Form In Win Over Timberwolves
6 years agoToronto Raptors small forward Kawhi Leonard reminded the entire league just how good he is on Wednesday night in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was ruthlessly efficient, scoring a game-high 34 points on a stunning 15-for-23 from the field, including hitting two shots from beyond the arc. Leonard wasn’t just a dominant scorer however, he also chipped in with five rebounds, two assist, two steals, and two blocks. After a couple of rough games shooting wise for the Klaw, he appears to be back on track. Over his last two games, he’s shooting a blistering 64.9 percent from the field on 18.5 field goal attempts-per-game. Now that Leonard is freed from the shackles of the Spurs system, he’ll shoot the ball as much as possible. Which is a welcome sign for Leonard owners, as he looks to be in line for a top-10 finish (with potential for top-5) this season. Leonard also gets a juicy match-up his next time out, when he takes on the Dallas Mavericks, who are giving up 122.0 points-per-game as a team so far this season.
