4 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that kicker Kai Forbath (ankle), offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) and safety Taylor Rapp (knee) will be placed on Injured Reserve. Whitworth tore his MCL and will be out for six to eight weeks. Kickers Austin MacGinnis and Matt Gay are expected to compete for the starting job with Forbath sidelined. Whitworth, a 15-year veteran, still has a chance to return later this year if the team qualifies for the postseason. But his absence until then will be bad news for quarterback Jared Goff. Joe Noteboom will start at left tackle moving forward. The Rams offense hasn't given the kicking position much volume this year, so you can likely avoid whoever wins this competition after Forbath's injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
