Kadarius Toney, Rashee Rice Not Practicing Thursday
11 months agoKansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (hip) and Rashee Rice (hamstring) will not take part in the team's practice on Thursday. Toney returned to a limited practice on Wednesday, while Rice has now missed the first two practices of the week. With the Chiefs locked into the No. 3 seed in the AFC for the playoffs, they have already announced that they are resting star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and they could rest more players, especially injured ones like Toney and Rice. The 23-year-old Rice got off to a slow start in his first NFL season but has come on strong and has been a must-start fantasy wideout in the second half of the season. If he doesn't play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers, Rice will end up with 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. Receivers Justin Watson and Marquez Valdes-Scantling and others could be in line for big workloads if Rice and Toney are held out.
