Justyn Ross Becoming Legitimate Candidate For Roster Spot
1 year agoWith each training camp practice, Kansas City Chiefs second-year wide receiver Justyn Ross is becoming a more legitimate candidate to earn one of the last roster spots at the position. Ross has become one of the team's most dazzling players at camp with his combination of speed, quickness, reliable hands, above-average verticality and crisp route-running. He's also getting more work with the first-team offense. "He's learning the offense fast," quarterback Patrick Mahomes said of Ross. "He's obviously making big plays, and he's getting more and more involved in those first-team reps. He's a guy that I hope can be a really good player in this offense." The 23-year-old didn't play at all in 2022 due to a foot injury, but he's a receiver worth watching this year if he makes the final roster and eventually finds a role in KC's offense.
