Justin Turner Day-To-Day With Heel Contusion
1 year agoBoston Red Sox third baseman/designated hitter Justin Turner (heel) is being considered day-to-day with a left-heel contusion after leaving Monday night's game early against the Seattle Mariners. Turner injured himself while trying to beat out an infield single in the ninth inning on Monday night and had to be removed. Fantasy managers should expect the 38-year-old to rest for at least a day on Tuesday, if not more. Despite his advanced age, Turner has been solid and an RBI machine in his first year in Boston. He's currently hitting .286/.356/.481 with an .837 OPS, 17 home runs, 25 doubles, 71 RBI, four stolen bases and 66 runs scored in 102 games. He was excellent in July, going 30-for-89 (.337) with five homers, eight doubles, 28 RBI and 18 runs scored in 23 games.
