2 years agoChicago Cubs left-hander Justin Steele (forearm) will have a touch-and-feel throwing session on Wednesday, and manager David Ross said on Tuesday that Steele is on track to return from the injured list and start on June 17 against the Baltimore Orioles. It's the first day that Steele is eligible to be activated from the 15-day injured list. The 27-year-old southpaw is dealing with a left-forearm strain, but the injury isn't considered all that serious, and he may only need a short minor-league rehab assignment. If you're in need of pitching in mixed leagues, it might be a good idea to pick Steele up now if he's available on your waiver wire. In 12 starts (68 innings) so far in 2023, Steele has been sharp with a 2.65 ERA (2.84 FIP), 1.06 WHIP, 16 walks and 58 strikeouts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
