Justin Skule, Tarvarius Moore Suffer Season-Ending Injuries
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Justin Skule (knee) tore his ACL during Monday's practice, while safety Tarvarius Moore (Achilles) tore his Achilles during the same practice. Neither Skule nor Moore have been established starters for the team, but they both played prominent roles in recent seasons. Skule played 31 regular season games in the last two years, with 12 starts at tackle and guard. He was slated to compete with Shon Coleman for the swing tackle job in training camp. Moore had appeared in all 48 regular season games (13 starts) in the last three years, recording 49 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 2020. He was expected to compete for the starting gig at strong safety before his injury.
