6 years agoHouston Texans rookie safety Justin Reid shined in the team's second preseason game on Saturday night. Reid led the teams with six tackles, and three of those were solo. The Texans have Romeo Crennel back at the defensive coordinator position as well as free-agent signee Tyrann Mathieu to help bolster this Texans defense. Reid's brother, Eric Reid, has had an excellent NFL career and the Texans hope the family pedigree will continue with Justin. A lot of NFL scouts thought the Texans got an absolute steal with Reid in the third round, as he had a higher grade and should have been selected higher in the 2018 draft. If Reid continues to impress, the Texans may have themselves a solid safety for the first time since former Texans safety Glover Quin was on the team.--Chris Nalls
