Justin Jefferson Will Play The Slot "Quite A Bit"
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak said that rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson will "move inside quite a bit." "That's something he's exceptional at," Kubiak said. It means that Adam Thielen will see more time on the outside with Stefon Diggs now in Buffalo. Jefferson had 109 catches (second-most in a single season since 2014), 18 touchdowns (the most) and 1,518 yards (second-most) out of the slot last season, so it's a spot where he's extremely productive and comfortable. There is plenty of opportunity for the 21-year-old right away, but his ceiling may be limited just because of Minnesota's reliance on the run and two-receiver sets. Still, Jefferson has appeal in redraft leagues as a WR4.
