2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert said there's a possibility he could "hold in" during training camp next month as he seeks a long-term contract extension from the team. "The role of the quarterback is to be out there for his team and to do everything he can to put that team in a position to win. I understand that responsibility. It's something that we'll address when the time comes, but I guess we'll see," Herbert said. The Chargers remain hopeful that they can get something done with Herbert before training camp begins, but that remains to be seen and talks are "ongoing" at this point. Despite a disappointing 2022 campaign, Herbert is in play as a midrange QB1 in fantasy with upside. With the team learning a new offense under coordinator Kellen Moore this offseason, it would be a surprise if Herbert isn't participating at training camp.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
