Justin Fields Rallies But Comes Up Short
2 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields completed 15-of-21 passes for 208 passing yards with one touchdown and a team-high 47 rushing yards in the team's 29-22 loss to the Vikings. Things looked bleak early as the Vikings sprinted out to a 21-3 lead, but Fields rallied to have his best game of the season. The second-year quarterback eluded collapsing pockets with his amazing athleticism and flashed his big-time arm in multiple spots as the Bears mounted a second-half comeback. Fields also had a 40-plus-yard rushing touchdown negated by an illegal block in the back penalty but it was too little and too late for the Bears offense. This performance by Fields should have him sniffing QB2 status heading into a short week against the Commanders on Thursday Night Football.
