Justin Dunn Shut Down For A Couple Months
2 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Justin Dunn (shoulder) was examined in New York and will be shut down for a couple of months after being diagnosed with inflammation in the subscapularis in his right rotator cuff. The good news for Dunn is that surgery wasn't recommended, and there's still a possibility that he could pitch in 2023. Fantasy managers should be avoided the 27-year-old everywhere to begin the season. He only made seven starts for the Reds last year and struggled to the tune of a 6.10 ERA (8.31 FIP), 1.58 WHIP and career-low 15.2 percent strikeout rate in only 31 innings. In his four big-league seasons, Dunn has a 4.44 ERA (6.23 FIP), 1.51 WHIP and 19.4 percent strikeout rate in 32 starts over 133 2/3 frames.
