6 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Justin Bour was recalled from Triple-A and immediately made a great return impression by smacking a three-run home run on Tuesday. Prospect Jared Walsh was optioned to the minors to make room for Bour as the team hopes that his struggles are behind him. The 31-year-old was slashing .163/.268/.316 when he was sent down but responded by hitting .292 with one triple, five home runs and six doubles through 85 minor league at-bats. The veteran also walked more than he struck out (13 walks/11 K's) and it appears something clicked for him after the demotion. It is way too early to think that Bour can help a fantasy roster right now but his promotion should steal at-bats from Albert Pujols at first base and Shohei Ohtani occasionally at the DH spot.--Joey C - RotoBaller
