Julio Rodriguez Productive In Loss To Rangers
1 year agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez was on base often on Sunday in the close 9-8 loss to the division-rival Texas Rangers. Rodriguez finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, two runs scored, a walk and two strikeouts. The 22-year-old All-Star and last year's American League Rookie of the Year is now hitting .284/.343/.497 with an .839 OPS, a league-leading 179 hits, a career-high 31 home runs, 37 doubles, two triples, an even 100 RBI, 36 stolen bases and an even 100 runs scored in 148 games in just his second year in the big leagues. He's contributed 26 hits in 95 at-bats (.274) with seven long balls, six doubles, a triple, 13 RBI, a stolen base and 18 runs scored in 22 starts in the month of September.
