Julio Rodriguez Goes Deep In Win Over Astros
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a run scored, a walk and two strikeouts in Sunday's 3-1 win over the visiting Houston Astros. Rodriguez demolished his sixth round-tripper of the year, and he's now hitting .216 (29-for-134) with six doubles, a triple, six home runs, 15 RBI, six stolen bases, 21 runs scored and 40 stolen bases in 147 plate appearances and 32 games. The long ball was the 22-year-old's first since April 26, so hopefully he can start to pick things up at the plate. J-Rod entered Sunday's contest with a 1-for-17 stretch at the plate over five games. He's still hitting the ball hard, though, so he should break out of his slump sooner than later for fantasy managers.
