JT Chargois Earns First Career Save
2 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher JT Chargois was tasked with closing down the game versus the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. Normally, right-hander Dylan Floro is the closer in Miami, but he was unavailable after pitching in three straight contests. Chargois was able to hold the two-run lead, but he didn't make it look pretty. Chargois gave up a leadoff single that was quickly erased on a double play. After that, Chargois walked the next batter and gave up a double to Hunter Renfroe. Then, Mike Trout came to the plate with the tying runs in scoring position. Somehow, Chargois was able to escape the inning without any damage and earn his first career save. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Chargois to get many save chances with Floro healthy.
