Josh Phegley Just Keeps On Keeping On
Oakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley didn't make the start on Wednesday afternoon against the Los Angeles Angels, getting some time to rest. However, he made a pinch-hitting appearance in the seventh inning for Nick Hundley, grounding out in that at-bat. He finished the game behind the dish and added an RBI single. Phegley has enjoyed quite a nice month of May, going 20-for-64 (.313) with five doubles, four homers and 20 RBI across 21 outings, raising his average from .262 to .291. Phegley has emerged as a must-start fantasy option in AL-only leagues and a decent No. 2 backstop in mixed formats.
