Josh Phegley Just Keeps On Keeping On
6 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley didn't make the start on Wednesday afternoon against the Los Angeles Angels, getting some time to rest. However, he made a pinch-hitting appearance in the seventh inning for Nick Hundley, grounding out in that at-bat. He finished the game behind the dish and added an RBI single. Phegley has enjoyed quite a nice month of May, going 20-for-64 (.313) with five doubles, four homers and 20 RBI across 21 outings, raising his average from .262 to .291. Phegley has emerged as a must-start fantasy option in AL-only leagues and a decent No. 2 backstop in mixed formats.
