Josh Jacobs Won't Report For Training Camp
1 year agoAs expected, Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs won't report for the start of training camp on Tuesday and has told people close to him that he doesn't plan to return anytime soon. Jacobs hasn't signed his franchise tender and was spotted Monday morning boarding a flight leaving Las Vegas. The Raiders and Jacobs couldn't agree on a long-term contract extension, so if he does play in 2023, it will be on the one-year franchise tag. There's a chance that the 25-year-old chooses to hold out into the regular season, which would obviously tank his fantasy value. And even after leading the NFL in rushing yards in 2022, Jacobs' fantasy value as a high-end RB1 is taking a hit with a potentially lengthy holdout coming. With Jacobs away from the team, Zamir White, Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden will have more opportunities to impress the coaching staff.
