Josh Gordon Out Indefinitely
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Josh Gordon had a setback in his battle with substance abuse and won't be allowed to practice or play indefinitely, according to sources. The NFL informed the Seahawks that Gordon hasn't complied with the terms of his conditional reinstatement. And so it continues for Gordon. The Seahawks had just added the troubled wideout to their active roster, which would've allowed him to be active for the first time in 2020 for a Week 16 matchup with the division-rival Rams this Sunday. The 29-year-old former second-round pick of the Browns was hoping to provide some depth behind D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and David Moore after playing in five games for the Seahawks in 2019. It looks like Gordon's chances of returning this year are over, and for a talented athlete that's already had more than his fair share of second and third chances, this latest setback could officially signal the end of his time in the NFL.
