Josh Gordon Applies For Reinstatement Yet Again
3 years agoFree-agent wide receiver Josh Gordon has officially submitted his reinstatement papers to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and is hoping to be with a team for training camp, according to a league source. The league has been randomly drug testing Gordon for the last three months, and he has passed all tests. Off-the-field issues with substance abuse have continued to be a problem for the 30-year-old wideout, and he hasn't played a full season since 2013 because of it. Gordon is extremely talented when he's on the field, but he's running out of chances, and it remains to be seen if any teams want to take on that headache. We'll have to wait and see if a team picks him up as injuries strike later this summer. If he latches on somewhere, he might be worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues, but you can't expect much at this point.
