Jose Urquidy Leaves Game Early With Shoulder Injury
Houston Astros starting pitcher Jose Urquidy (shoulder) left Sunday's start against the Philadelphia Phillies with right shoulder soreness, according to manager Dusty Baker. He will visit with doctors tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury. Urquidy was removed after throwing a changeup that sailed way outside the zone in the sixth inning. Before he left the game, he threw 5 ⅓ innings of two-run ball, allowing just three hits and a walk while striking out three. If Urquidy misses time, Brandon Bielak or J.P. France are likely to get a spot start for the Astros.
