Jose Trevino Could Return Tuesday
1 year agoNew York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino (hamstring) will travel with the team to Seattle early next week, and he's in play to be activated from the injured list on Tuesday. Trevino has been sidelined since May 17 with a left-hamstring strain, but he's nearing a return to the team's active roster. When he returns, he'll continue to split playing time behind the dish in the Bronx with Kyle Higashioka. Before his injury, the 30-year-old veteran backstop was hitting just .219 (21-for-96) with two doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in 102 plate appearances over 30 games played. Trevino was a first-time All-Star in 2022, when he hit .248/.283/.388 with 11 homers and 43 RBI in 115 games played.
